Instead, they pass through the digestive system without being broken down. They hold onto water which helps you feel full and regulates bowel movements.\u00a0Fiber helps regulate the body\u2019s use of sugars, helping to keep hunger and blood sugar in check.<\/p><p>There are two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble which are both beneficial to your health.\u00a0Soluble fiber, dissolves in water and can help lower glucose levels as well as help lower blood cholesterol.
